Applicant Information Session

Details

We are holding an online Information Session for interested applicants in Mayo to learn more about this accountancy apprenticeship on Wednesday, 30th July 2025 at 1pm.

Accounting Technicians Ireland are now inviting prospective applicants to learn about the Accounting Technician Apprenticeship for September 2025 from Mayo and surrounding regions in Ireland.

It is a two year practical work based education training programme comprising of four days working with an employer and one day attending Mayo College of Further Education and Training (Swinford hub) during academic term time. Outside of the academic term time an apprentice works five days. The structure of the apprenticeship programme ensures that the training and education delivered to apprentices are grounded for the needs of accountancy in the evolving workplace.

The programme is open to Leaving Cert students, school leavers, graduates, mature learners, and ‘role changers’—non-accountancy staff of registered apprenticeship employers seeking to upskill or transition into an accountancy role.

It enables participants to explore their expectations, aspirations, capabilities, and skills, laying the foundation for a stable and rewarding career in accounting. The programme also equips apprentices with professional, transversal, soft, and digital skills essential for success in today’s labour market

Apprentices are paid a salary of €26,325 each by the employer. Tuition and exams are fully funded by Solas.
