Programme overview

In this fully-funded programme, study with a local partner college whilst gaining significant experience working with an employer and earning a salary of at least the minimum wage per year.

Apprentices graduate with an industry recognised Level 5 Diploma for Accounting Technicians, and tuition is fully funded by the Department for the Economy (DfE).

Graduating enables you to join our professional Member network and use of the designatory letters MIATI and benefitting from further professional training opportunities.

This is a full-time, two-year programme which requires the apprentice to attend college onsite one day per week (off-the-job training), and work with a local employer (on-the-job training) on the other four days during term time.

Outside of term time, the apprentice will work on a full-time basis. The programme consists of four modules delivered each year, in addition to four work-based tasks, which contribute to the end-of-year module grade.

Updated every year with the newest legislative and taxation changes, our syllabus equips you with employable business skills, and a strong technical knowledge of finance and accountancy practice.

Everything you learn will support and inform your work with your employer, providing you with the opportunity to apply newly gained knowledge and skills on a daily basis.
