Everything you should know about studying the course and sitting your exams.

Seminars

Accounting Technicians Ireland organise seminars during the year to assist students with their exams preparation. These seminars supplement our existing course lectures and provide an excellent opportunity to revise material or simply assist you in getting back to studying.

Full day seminars are organised twice a year in Belfast, Cork, Dublin and Galway. The first set of seminars covers the first half of the course (and ties in directly with the first half of the Accounting Technicians Ireland manual). The second set of seminars cover the remainder of the course (and covers the second half of the manual). Both sessions also look at areas such as time management and examination technique.

In advance of attending seminars, we advise students to check that their lecturer has covered the appropriate material in the manual, in order for you to get the most of out of the seminar session.

For each seminar you attend, a detailed set of high quality lecture notes will be issued to you on the day. Students in the past have found these to be very helpful in terms of exam preparation.

Summer Seminars

Summer Seminars are half day revision sessions held in advance of the Autumn exams. These are held in Dublin only and each seminar is a Questions and Answers session where the lecturer will revise the May Examination Paper.
