KnowledgePoint is the new blended learning programme from Accounting Technicians Ireland. It brings together the best of both face-to-face and online learning and provides tutorials for every subject in both First Year and Second Year.
KnowledgePoint offers a series of Online Tutorials on a variety of topics as well as half-day classroom-based Workshops that you can purchase. There are also additional online support tutorials that you can download for free. All these tutorials will provide you with invaluable hints and tips from expert lecturers.
Online Tutorials covering a variety of topics are available for each subject. These last anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour and each subject can have up to 6 Online Tutorials. In total, there are 36 Online Tutorials for First Year and 35 for Second Year. To get you started we have given you 2 free Online Tutorials that you will find in "My Library" within KnowledgePoint.
Viewing an Online Tutorial is virtually the same as being in the room with the lecturer. Keeping pace is easy because the video, audio and slides are all synchronized in real-time side by side as the lecturer speaks. What's more, you can review the Online Tutorial as often as you like in the run up to your exams!
In addition each tutorial comes with detailed student notes that provide solutions to questions that are worked through in the tutorial.
You can also attend live workshops in both Dublin and Belfast. There are two half-day workshops (duration 3 hours 30 minutes) for each subject and these will give you hints and tips from expert lecturers. They will focus on specific areas of the subject and also how to prepare for the exam. These workshops replace the day long Revision Seminars that Accounting Technicians Ireland has traditionally run in previous years.
Workshops are scheduled to take place in February and March 2012. Go to the KnowledgePoint Store today to book your place on a Workshop of your choice.
If you are not able to attend the live Workshops, you have the option to purchase and download the Recorded Workshop at a later date. This is a video recording of the live Workshop, plus you also get the PowerPoint presentation(s) and a detailed set of high quality lecture notes from the day. Students in the past have found these to be very helpful in terms of exam preparation.
Viewing the Recorded Workshop is virtually the same as being there. What's more, you can review the Recorded Workshop as often as you like in the run up to your exams.
