Becoming a Full Member

Accounting Technicians Ireland offers you an opportunity to belong to a professional accounting body that provides a range of benefits to assist your career development and give you the support that you require.

How to join

Once you complete the Diploma for Accounting Technicians qualification, you can apply to become a Full Member of Accounting Technicians Ireland. To do this, you will have passed all your examinations and have completed at least two years approved work experience within an accounting or finance environment. We acknowledge work experience that has been obtained before, during or after your studies.

Once you become a Full Member, you are entitled to use the professional designation MIATI after your name, a respected business accreditation valued by many employers. Full Members can also avail of a wide range of services and benefits.

In order to complete the qualification and become a Full Member, you must submit your Record of Work Experience which has been verified by a mentor, along with an assessment fee of €175/£150.

Once you have been assessed as having completed all the criteria, you will be invited to attend a graduation where you will receive your qualification and be conferred as a Full Member of Accounting Technicians Ireland. Graduation ceremonies are held in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Belfast between October and December each year.
