Why students study an accounting qualification?
Students consider an accounting qualification for many reasons. In the current climate, many students are looking to embark on a new career path and accounting is seen as a stable and reliable choice, while others will choose to study an accounting qualification to formalise their work experience or on the advice of their employer.
The Accounting Technicians Ireland qualification is seen by many as one of Ireland’s leading accounting qualifications and every year we continue to attract thousands of new students. The flexibility for students being allowed to study it on a full-time, part-time of on a correspondence basis means that it can fit in with their lifestyle. The other main attraction to students is that they can achieve a professional accounting qualification in as little as two years.
Adult education courses and part-time studies
Adult education courses are growing in popularity and this is very evident on our Accounting Technician qualification. The reason for this is that our qualification offers flexibility and support to those embarking on an adult education course. Returning to study can be very daunting for some students, but the study support offered by Accounting Technicians Ireland and the students' local colleges, means that they can quickly settle into the course.
Full-time courses
The student profile on our full-time programmes can vary from school leavers to mature students. These courses usually take place over four to five weekdays and others are run in line with the primary schools timetable, allowing parents to gain a qualification which fits in to their daily schedule.
Supporting our students and colleges is very important to Accounting Technicians Ireland and we encourage our colleges to utilise the support services offered by us.
