Teaching support for our colleges
Accounting Technicians Ireland recognises that the key to a high quality learning environment owes a significant amount to the input of the lecturer. To assist our college lecturers, we offer comprehensive teaching support throughout the academic year. Specific initiatives designed to assist you are as follows:
Syllabi
A detailed syllabus is available for each module on the Accounting Technicians Ireland programme. This is an extremely important document as it outlines what material is examinable. Please ensure that you download your copy of the syllabus.
Course manuals
Accounting Technicians Ireland provides course manuals for each of its First and Second Year subjects. Manuals tie directly into the syllabus and cover the key reading material for students. They also complement a lot of material that is covered in the various seminars that are organised during the year.
Lecturers automatically receive complimentary copies of our manuals in September once they have registered with us. (If this is your first time delivering the Accounting Technicians Ireland programme, please contact our Student Services department to be placed on our database).
Lecturer Liaison Day
We hold a Lecturer Liaison Day every year in October/November at our offices. This annual event is particularly useful for new lecturers and provides them with a chance to discuss any academic or operational queries with us in person. All lecturers, whether part-time or full-time are very welcome to attend. Dates for this event are issued a number of weeks in advance.
This year's Liaison Day for Republic of Ireland colleges was held on October 10th. To download the Examiner's presentation for the day, please click here
The Liaison Day for Northern Ireland colleges will be held on October 31st in the Radisson Hotel, The Gasworks, Ormeau Rd., Belfast. For further information contact Lorraine Lawler (

Pilot papers
We produce a number of pilot papers for each subject to assist lecturers and students in preparing for their exams. All pilot papers refer to the new syllabus and are updated on a regular basis. Students have found these to be very helpful in getting to grips with the requirements of the new syllabus.
