Becoming a Full Member

Accounting Technicians Ireland offers you an opportunity to belong to a professional accounting body that provides a range of benefits to assist your career development and give you the support that you require.

How to join

To become a Full Member of Accounting Technicians Ireland, you will have passed all your examinations and have completed at least two years approved work experience within an accounting or finance environment. We acknowledge work experience that has been obtained before, during or after your studies.

Once you become a Full Member, you are entitled to use the professional designation MIATI after your name, a respected business accreditation valued by many employers. Full Members can also avail of a wide range of services and benefits.

In order to apply for membership, please complete the Record of Work Experience and a Membership Application forms, both of which should be reviewed and validated by your employer.  The fee to apply for membership is  €175/£155.

When you have satisfied the joining criteria, you will be invited to come forward for membership and attend a graduation. Graduation ceremonies are held in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Belfast between October and December each year.
