What can you do after qualifying?

In 2008, 70% of Accounting Technicians Ireland’s members took up key roles in accounting practices and in industry. These covered a broad range of finance roles in many types of organisations across different sectors from private industry to local and central government.

The remaining 30% went onto further study and used the Accounting Technicians Ireland qualification as a stepping stone into other professional accounting and taxation bodies. For instance, many of our graduates pursue further accounting studies with bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA), or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). All these bodies offer Accounting Technicians Ireland graduates significant exemptions for taking their exams.
