What can you do after qualifying?

The most recent graduates who became members of Accounting Technicians Ireland have fared very well. Almost 95% of them are currently working.

Having the Accounting Technicians Ireland qualification is a distinct advantage in the market place as it is seen by many employers as essential when they are hiring. It has enabled our newest members to take up key roles in accounting practices and in industry. These covered a broad range of finance roles in many types of organisations across different sectors from private industry to local and central government.

Around 30% of our graduates decide to continue studying and will use the Accounting Technicians Ireland qualification as a stepping stone into other professional accounting and taxation bodies.

For instance, many of our graduates pursue further accounting studies with organisations such as our partner Chartered Accountants Ireland, or the other professional bodies like the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA), or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). All these bodies offer Accounting Technicians Ireland graduates significant exemptions for taking their exams.
